Electric Wine SF horror magazine
Although the subject matter is eclectic, most stories and illustrations have a dark and haunting tone and theme. This is probably a matter of personal editorial choice; Electric Wine does consider material across the range of SF, fantasy, and horror. It seems to treat its writers well for an e-zine, paying a dollar per word and returning the rights to the author rather than holding the work in an online archive.

Wanna play Holmes? Sherlock Holmes? Imagine yourself with that special ability to divine a description, method, perhaps even motive, simply by observing a crime scene. Reality isn't quite so neat, but crime scene reconstruction is often the first step in a criminal investigation. Reconstruction tries to answer questions like what happened and how it happened. Reconstructions come in many forms and each type requires different information. To learn more about it, check this site, a must for fans of the genre. Once you've learned enough, you can try to solve the online case study.

There's a lot here, marred - alas - by a lot that isn't here, at least not yet. Instead, there are just empty store fronts so to speak, and an old-fashioned approach to Web navigation. You also have to dig for understanding. ..... It would take forever to tell you what works and what doesn't here, but we do suggest you explore it yourself. And, for all its flaws, which are at least offenses of ambition, this is a worthy place to visit if the subject interests you. After all, any work of this potential magnitude and importance needs others to help and contribute.

The educational material here is intended for Grades 4 and up and is fairly generic in nature, leaving it pretty much up to the teacher to take the suggestions and make something of them. However, there are worksheets to use, vocabulary exercises, a write-a-mystery section, and you can work the weekly online Solve-it Yourself mystery into the curriculum as part of the educational material. The main learning skills involved appear to be critical thinking, analysis, and reading and writing. Of course, MysteryNet is more than an educational site, and if you're a mystery buff yourself, well then you'll probably find this site of interest for personal reasons also.(nyhedsbrev)
